Spring Lane Primary School Gets Creative with Sol Central

The children and teachers of Spring Lane Primary School got behind some creative ideas to brighten up their local entertainment Centre Sol Central located in Marefair, Northampton.

Mr. Duncan McAlpine & Mrs Tracey Hamilton from Spring Lane Primary asked the children to create some pictures to represent their favourite scenes from buildings and places in Northampton. The resulting drawings will be digitally re-mastered and displayed inside Sol Central on a permanent basis.

Richard Lee, Rowen Squibb & Susan Hamilton from Sol Central joined the children's morning assembly to give away presents and prizes to the children that took part in the event. Susan explained, “The children worked really enthusiastically and came up with some wonderful drawings that show passion and interest in the local environment and community. We had a wonderful time and hope to be able to do similar projects with other schools locally”.

Sol Central recently celebrated it's 10th anniversary and has seen the family offer improve at the centre with the opening of Laser Force to complement the Vue Cinema, Aroma Oriental Buffet Restaurant and Fun Station. Rowen Squibb, from Sol Central expressed his praise for the school; "The school made us most welcome and it's fantastic that the teachers come up with ideas to ensure the children get behind business and their local community, it was a fun project and nice to see the children's favourite places in the town".

Everyone can keep updated to the placing of the images in the centre and new openings at Sol Central through the website www.solcentral.biz and the Facebook page www.facebook.com/northampton
